I am a senior citizen living with multiple sclerosis. Last summer I fell and injured my ribs. This put me in pursuit of someone who would come in to help me gain strength so that I could remain in my home. Tim can see the circumstances of my daily needs and has helped me to gain strength and feel safe and self confident in getting chores done around the house. I remain surprised at what the workouts have done for me. All the routines have helped me to have more stamina and flexibility. The sessions are customized to my needs. Weather permitting some activities are out of doors giving me the added benefit of fresh air and sunshine. This is a program suited to my individual needs. Thanks, Tim.

I have wanted to write this recommendation for a long time. Tim has been working with me for approximately 11 mos. and I can't begin to tell you how much he has changed my life. I went from using a Walker or a cane to walking over a mile, sometimes with weights, unaided. I had so much pain In my back when I started my journey with Tim that it was difficult for me to do ordinary things. A few weeks ago I received exciting news from my doctor. My bone density test indicated a 10% improvement in my spine and I know it has to be attributed to the weight training, oh, and I have lost some weight also. Tim is a great coach and knows how to inspire you. He did me! By the way I am 81 years old!

Coach Fox introduced me to weightlifting when he coached our Olympic weightlifting team when I was in high school. It quickly became the first sport I ever loved, and through his guidance, the first sport I was ever good at. He’s an absolutely phenomenal coach who knows just about everything about exercise. Coach Fox’s programs were meticulously planned and every detail thought of, and just as important, he knew how to have fun. I don’t remember ever hitting a plateau and I looked forward to every practice and meet.
I took this love of exercise and developed it into being a personal trainer and teaching others to love exercise the same way Coach Fox taught me to love it.
He’s very patient and knows when to push you to be better and when to back off at the appropriate times which are very difficult skills to develop. He has the ability to train anyone of any skill level and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve themselves through fitness.

Tim trained my youngest, Allen, in high school. Allen went on to become a personal trainer, still lifts weights, and Tim still keeps track of him. I needed help with my osteoporosis and keeping fit. Tim has geared my workouts to help with both. Best of all he keeps checking in to see how I'm doing. I need that to stay on track. He's easy to work with, knows his stuff and is flexible. I recommend him to any age group. I'm in my 70s, and thanks to Tim, I have done a 10 k and two 5 k walks this year. I look forward to working with him for a long time!

Tim Fox, my trainer, sure knows his stuff! In my late 50's I came to him wanting to stay flexible and increase my upper arm strength. However, I had physical issues such as a nagging sore ankle and occasional knee pain. Tim designed my workouts to avoid stressing those parts, but yet strengthening them. My left arm was quite weak when we started and now I can tip my cast iron frying pan to clean it out. Simple things, yes, but important as I age. I am also glad Tim is not one of those 20's somethings and he can relate to some aches and pains. I am a person who cannot work inside a gym, getting quickly bored. Tim has changed my workouts so I don't get bored as I love to be outside. If something is hurting he knows just how to change it up to relieve the pain.

I called Tim Fox after 4 months of extreme lower back pain which was not improving. Tim was a great listener during our initial phone conversation and he asked a number of questions but would not commit to working with me until he did a home visit which was free. During the home visit we agreed that we would be a good fit for working together and Tim started to come to my home on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Tim is very through in his explanation of what he wanted me to do and if I did it wrong he would take the time to show me the correct way of doing a certain movement. We were working on building the core muscles. After three visits I began to feel better than I had in the last four months and by the fifth visit I could bend forward and touch my toes with my hands which I would not do in the beginning I appreciated the fact that Tim comes to my home and we have even walked down the street to a neighborhood city park where Tim has shown me different exercise on the play-ground equipment. I would recommend Tim to anyone who is in need of a trainer and his hourly fee is very reasonable.

Awesome trainer and he makes working out fun. Very motivational and educational. He not only has you workout but he teaches you nutrition and customizes routines for you each day. Its never the same workout day to day so its great showing up knowing your going to learn something new. Not only is he a great personal trainer but he does fun group workouts. I have worked with Tim on multiple occasions and each time have seen significant results toward my workout goals. Most recently I have wanted to reduce my body-fat. Tim created a comprehensive plan that already has me seeing results in the end of the 2nd week of the program. Not only have the results been quick, but the workout is fun and changes each day making my time at the gym enjoyable. Tim has always been friendly and understanding, this does not mean he will let you get away with bad form. However, he finds a great balance of patients all while pushing you to be your best. I worked with Tim, on and off, for about three years. I am consistently impressed with his well thought out, individualized workouts. He clearly has a plan for your improved health and fitness, and constantly works to push your limits without making exercises too difficult, repetitive, or boring. In fact, the regular changes to workout routines makes for an interesting and challenging workout, in which you are guaranteed to experience positive results. Tim will also listen to your requests and personal goals, and incorporate them into the workout.
When we resumed our sessions after a break of a few months, I asked Tim for more weights in my workout routine this time. He agreed, and said to not forget that I was the one who asked for it! In using Tim's workout, the change in my body composition over just two months (as measured by the body composition test performed by Symons Recreation staff as a part of the Biggest Loser contest) showed a loss of 7.5 pounds of fat, and a gain of 6.4 pounds of muscle. Results that I can not only see, but can also feel.
Tim is a genuinely kind person who cares about his clients and the results they want. He can push you - but will only do so as much as you want to be pushed. I highly recommend his personal training.

Since joining the strength and conditioning team with Tim, I have experienced many challenges and goals reached. For example, my vertical jump increased from 24” to 32” including my body weight/mass from 175 pounds to 235 pounds in 5 years of consistent training within the program. These goals reached were very beneficial for me as a collegiate football player; power and size are a superb combination. I owe so much to the knowledge, designed effectiveness and motivational attitude of Coach Fox from my time in the program. On top of that, I’ve enjoyed it so much that I have hopes of passing on the same legacy Tim has had on me, to others in the future.
Over the past 5 years, Tim’s program has been more than just improving my physical abilities. Just a few of the greatest things I’ve taken away from the program is learning how to take care of my body with proper nutrition, having self-respect to stay away from what is not necessary, and developing self-efficacy to be above reproach in all areas of life; striving to be the best I can be as a person, athlete and teammate or member of society. I am one of the head coaches with TNT Gymnastics and I was looking for something more and different for a small group (10 year old, 2-11 year olds, 12 year old and 20 year old) of our highest level training gymnasts this summer. Tim did just that! He came up with our very own workouts to help with preventing knee and shoulder injuries as well as proper technique on lifting. We met with him almost every other week all summer long and the 5 girls I had in the group loved it! Every week was something different, so it didn't get boring or lose the girls' attention. Also, TIm let us borrow some of his equipment every week to continue the same workouts at our gym, which was beyond helpful and we can't wait to purchase some of our own--that I thought was super helpful so we don't go out buy unnecessary equipment.
